Ford Raptor Clunk
What is that clunk sound you hear from under the Ford Raptor?

We have heard a few complaints about some kind of clunk or popping sound from the driveshaft when the Ford Raptor is accelerating or stopping. Some say tons of grease inside the driveshaft may cause a temporary fix, but so far we have not heard of a permanent fix.

This is actually not only relevant to Ford Raptor, but to all F-150s made in recent years. We have heard it does not cause actual damage to the truck, but it sure is annoying.

This does not happen to all Ford Raptors and we bet Ford will address and solve this problem in the near future.

After we wrote the above, we got these comments regarding the clunk from some of our visitors:

That clunking noise actually has a recall notice available. Owners should of received notification about it by now. But if they have n't they should stop by their dealer and make the concern known. The dealer can then reference Ford's database of known issue and or der a new driveshaft.

Mine had a recall it made a clunk they replaced the driveshaft clunk was fixed

Ford directed dealers to NOT grease the drive shaft and attempt to repair the clunk. They later on announced a recall where the drive shaft was replaced free of charge.

Below is a video that shows the actual clunk on a Ford Raptor.
