Yeah, you are pregnant! ... or maybe someone you know is pregnant and
you want to find out if it is a boy or a girl. There are many ways to
predict the baby gender. We have listed many ways of predicting the
baby's gender below.
Ultrasound
The most accurate way of predicting the gender of your baby is to have an
ultrasound, three or four months into your pregnancy. Basically, you send
radio waves into your stomach and get an actual picture of the baby - and
most of time you can see if it is a boy or girl. Below are some less
accurate, yet popular ways of predicting the gender of the baby. We received
feedback that it works about 50 percent of the time.
High or Low
Some believe that if you carry the baby low, it means that you are having a
girl,and if you are carrying the baby high means that you are having a boy.
Hair Growth
Since boy's testosterone causes hair growth, one could argue that the
woman's hair will grow faster and in more places than normal if there is a boy growing inside
her belly.
Morning Sickness
If you have a lot of morning sickness, you can start painting the room pink,
because there is a 50 percent chance you will be getting a girl.
Path of the Ring
You can take a gold ring on a string and hold it over your stomach. If it
makes a circular motion, then it is a girl, however, if it rocks back and
forth, then it is a boy.
Salt or Sugar
My grandma said that if you are craving salty food during your pregnancy, it
means that it is a boy. However, if you like sweets during your pregnancy,
then you will have a sweet girl. Grandma did not know what it means if you
eat three pounds of pickles a day.
Heartbeat
The higher the heartbeat of the baby (140+), the higher the chance is that
your baby will be wearing blue. The lower the heartbeat, the more chance it
is a girl.
Even or Odd
If the mother's age at conception and the year of conception are both even
or odd, then it is a girl. If it is one of each, then it is a boy.
Chinese Gender Predictor
Another way many have had luck with is an old Chinese Gender Predictor
that can, for many, fairly accurately determine if you are getting a girl or
a boy. It takes into account how old the mother is at conception (when she
got pregnant), and when the baby is due.
