When researching the largest cities in Indiana, Research Maniacs
used two different criteria for determining the largest city in
Indiana.
First, we looked at the population of all major cities in Indiana from the
last census and sorted the cities accordingly.
Secondly, we looked at all the city maps in Indiana to find how much land
area the cities cover and sorted the cities accordingly.
When we sorted the cities in Indiana by population, we found that
Indianapolis is the largest city in Indiana. The five largest cities in Indiana, sorted by population,
are Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Evansville, South Bend, and Carmel.
When we sorted the cities in Indiana by land area, we also found that Indianapolis is the largest city in Indiana. The two largest cities in
Indiana, sorted by land area, are Indianapolis and Fort Wayne.
