What year was Patricia 'Patty' Hearst kidnapped?

Question: What year was Patricia 'Patty' Hearst kidnapped?

Patricia 'Patty' Hearst is the granddaughter of William Randolph Hearst. Patricia Hearst was kidnapped when she was only 19 years old, by a group that called themselves the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA).

First SLA wanted to trade Hearst for a jailed SLA member, but when that did not work they demanded that Hearst distribute $70 worth of food to all needy Californians. Patricia's father did feed the poor in San Francisco six million worth of food, but that was not enough and SLA did not free her.

However, Patricia Hearst decided to become a member of SLA and was arrested with SLA in a bank robbery the same year. Because she joined her captors, she is often referred to as being a victim of Stockholm Syndrome. Hearst was sentenced to prison, but President Carter commuted her sentence two years later. President Clinton granted her a full pardon on the last day of his Presidency. Anyway, Patricia Hearst was kidnapped in 1974.
