What grade are you in when you are 11?

Do you know someone who is 11 years old and you wonder what grade they’re in? When you are 11 years old, you are either in the second half of 5th grade or the first half of 6th grade.

If it is the first half of the calendar year (spring), then an 11 year old is probably in 5th grade. (Last year of elementary school)

If it is the second part of the calendar year (fall), then an 11 year old is probably in 6th grade. (First year of middle school)
