What is Range in Math?
What is range? What is the definition of range and how do you calculate the range? The range is the difference between the lowest and highest number in a set of numbers.
The range formula is (Highest number - Lowest number)
For example, let's say you have the following numbers:
2 4 7 23 42 54
The highest number is 54 and the lowest number is 2. If you put that into our range formula above you get 54 - 2 =
Thus, the range of our set of numbers is 52.
