Amish Country
What is Amish Country? Amish Country is where the Amish live. You probably know that a lot of Amish live in Pennsylvania. However, even more Amish live in Ohio. Other states with high Amish populations include Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Wisconsin, New York, Kentucky, Iowa, Kansas, Delaware, Maryland, Tennessee, Minnesota, and Illinois.
There are also some smaller Amish communities in other parts of the world such as in Canada and Ireland.
Very few "outsiders" join the Amish community. Nevertheless, the Amish population is growing rapidly. It is growing so fast, because the Amish in Amish Country do not believe it birth control and the average Amish family has seven children.
PS. There are more than 2000 Amish communities, and each community has an average of 30 families.
