How to upload an app to the Apple App store
Four easy steps: upload an app to the Apple App store!
Step 1) Register New App ID
Go to Apple Developer
and log in by clicking on Member Services and top of the screen and then choose Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles..
a) Choose Identifiers on the left
b) Choose App IDs
c) Click + to add new App ID
d) Enter Description - Name of App
e) Match Bundle identifier in Xcode like ResearchManiacs.com.NameOfApp
Step 2) Make New App in iTunesConnect:
Log into iTunesConnect and
go into "Manage Your Applications" and choose Add New App on top right.
Enter all the App information and make sure to choose the New App ID you picked in step 1e above.
Note: You need a 1024 x 1024 icon images plus screenshots of iPhone 3.5 inch, iPhone 4 inch, and iPad here.
MAKE SURE TO CLICK ON "Ready to Upload" and choose NO before you got to the next step.
Step 3) Create IOS Distribution Provisoning profile
Go back into to Apple Developer
and log in by clicking on Member Services and top of the screen and then choose Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles..
a) Choose Provisioning Profiles on the left
b) Choose Distribution
c) Click + to add new Profile
d) Type in the Profile name which is the name of the App
e) Choose the Apple ID you made in Step 1 above.
f) Press Generate
g) Download the file and drag the file on top of the Xcode icon, and close the window that comes up.
Step 4) Upload your App from Xcode
a) Open your project in Xcode.
b) Click on the name of your app on top of the folder list, then click the app name under PROJECT, and then the info tab.
c) Click on + under Configurations and 'duplicate release configuration' and then rename it to Distribution
d) Click on the Build settings tab and change all the stuff under Code signing to iPhone Distribution
(Probably is, but make sure it is right under target too)
e) Make sure iPhone is plugged into computer and on and not locked.
f) Choose iOS device on top - then go to Product on the top menu bar and choose archive.
g) Validate your App.
h) Submit your App.
