Bowling - per hour or per game?
Should you pay to bowl per game or per hour?
You may ask yourself the following questions; should I rent the bowling lane by the hour or pay per game? Should I rent bowling shoes or buy bowling shoes?
First answer a few bowling questions below, and then we will have answers to all your questions.

All numbers above are rounded up to the nearest whole number.
To see if you should pay by the hour or by the game of bowling simply choose the one
with the lowest number between the hour and game price above.
Most bowling alleys charge about 5 times as much per the hour as they do by the game. Thus, if the game
price is $5.00, then the hour price is usually about $25.00.
If you guys are serious bowlers and are there to bowl as fast as possible with no need to
eat, drink or socialize, then the average time for one person to finish a game will be really low
and it usually makes sense to rent the lane by the hour.
If your bowling time is a social event where bowling is just part of the package then you may
be better off paying by the game. This way, you can enjoy eating, drinking, and talking and not
worry about bowling to get full value for your money.
In conclusion, the faster you bowl, the more likely you are to save money by renting by the hour
and the slower you bowl, the more likely you are to save money by paying per game.
