I am a kindergarten teacher, and my students love animals. I want to have a class pet for a while,
so I thought of a tadpole that will grow into a frog.
To keep it alive, it needs to eat! But then something stumped me. What do I feed it? I learned from the
pet store worker that tadpoles are very easy to take care of. You only need to make its food
about twice before it grows into a frog.
She tells me that tadpoles eat mainly lettuce, if they are domesticated. They will also eat spinach.
But just in case it might come in handy later, she told me that tadpoles in the wild eat mainly
algae and other little micro plants.
Well that should give me enough information to start raising tadpoles. Can’t wait to see those
happy little kid’s faces.
