The first Starbucks opened on March 30, 1971 on
2000 Western Avenue in Seattle Washington. In 1976, it was
relocated to 1912 Pike Place Market, also in
Seattle, Washington, where it still is to this date.
The three partners that opened the first Starbucks were
Jerry Baldwin, Zev Siegl, and Gordon Bowker.
The three partners expanded over the years with 6 more stores,
until they finally sold the company in 1987 to Howard Schultz.
