Oaks Park

Oaks Park in Portland, Oregon

Did you know that Oaks Park, an amusement park, opened its gates May 30th, 1905? It’s been open 106 years – WOW!

The park is surrounded by tall oak trees, so that is why they named it Oaks Park.

It is near the Sellwood Bridge on the Willamette River. Even though Oaks Park is a small amusement park, it has a lot of fun and awesome rides that make you scream, like my favorite ride Screamin’ Eagle.

They also have exciting games where you can win prizes, and a roller rink made out of wood. You can watch fireworks on the Fourth of July.

Oaks Park is a really fun place. I think one day you should drop by for a visit.
