Pittock Mansion in Portland, Oregon
The Pittock Mansion, located in the west hills of Portland, was built as a private home for Rose Festival founder Georgiana Pittock and her husband, Henry Pittock, the Oregonian newspaper publisher.
It has 22 rooms and is 16,000 square feet. They lived there until they died, and their children and grandchildren lived there until it was damaged in a storm and was going to be torn down.
