Here is a list of all United States Vice Presidents in chronological order. This list contains the name of the Vice President, when he served as Vice President, who was the President at the time, and other interesting information. This is a great source to learn more about this country’s Vice Presidents.

Note that Vice President George Clinton and Vice President John C. Calhoun served under different Presidents. Also interesting to note is that Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, Grover Cleveland, and Richard Nixon had two Vice Presidents. Furthermore, Franklin D. Roosevelt had three Vice Presidents.

John Adams
John Adams was Vice President from 1789 to 1797 and served under President George Washington. After being Vice President for 8 years, John Adams served as President for 4 years.

Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson was Vice President from 1797 to 1801 and served under President John Adams. After being Vice President for 4 years, Thomas Jefferson served as President for 8 years.

Aaron Burr
Aaron Burr was Vice President from 1801 to 1805 and served under President Thomas Jefferson. Aaron Burr was President Thomas Jefferson’s first Vice President.

George Clinton
George Clinton was Vice President from 1805 to 1812. He served under President Thomas Jefferson from 1805 to 1809 and under President James Madison from 1809 to 1812.
