What is the largest city in Alaska?
Question: What is the largest city in Alaska?
When researching the largest cities in Alaska, Research Maniacs
used two different criteria for determining the largest city in
Alaska.
First, we looked at the population of all major cities in Alaska from the
last census and sorted the cities accordingly.
Secondly, we looked at all the city maps in Alaska to find how much land
area the cities cover and sorted the cities accordingly.
When we sorted the cities in Alaska by population, we found that
Anchorage is the largest city in Alaska. The five largest cities in
Alaska, sorted by population, are Anchorage, Juneau, Fairbanks, Sitka, and Ketchikan.
When we sorted the cities in Alaska by land area, we found that
Sitka is the largest city in Alaska. The seven largest cities in
Alaska, sorted by land area, are Sitka, Juneau, Wrangell, Anchorage, Valdez, Unalaska, and Nightmute.
