When researching the largest cities in Florida, Research Maniacs used two different criteria for determining the largest city in Florida.

First, we looked at the population of all major cities in Florida from the last census and sorted the cities accordingly.

Secondly, we looked at all the city maps in Florida to find how much land area the cities cover and sorted the cities accordingly.

When we sorted the cities in Florida by population, we found that Jacksonville is the largest city in Florida. The five largest cities in Florida, sorted by population, are Jacksonville, Miami, Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Orlando.

When we sorted the cities in Florida by land area, we also found that Jacksonville is the largest city in Florida. The eight largest cities in Florida, sorted by land area, are Jacksonville, Bunnell, Tampa, Cape Coral, Orlando, Tallahassee, Port St. Lucie, and North Port.
