Question: What is the largest city in New Jersey?


When researching the largest cities in New Jersey, Research Maniacs used two different criteria for determining the largest city in New Jersey.

First, we looked at the population of all major cities in New Jersey from the last census and sorted the cities accordingly.

Secondly, we looked at all the city maps in New Jersey to find how much land area the cities cover and sorted the cities accordingly.

When we sorted the cities in New Jersey by population, we found that Newark is the largest city in New Jersey. The five largest cities in New Jersey, sorted by population, are Newark, Jersey City, Paterson, Elizabeth, and Edison.

When we sorted the cities in New Jersey by land area, we also found that Newark is the largest city in New Jersey.
