Secondly, we looked at all the city maps in South Dakota to find how much land area the cities cover and sorted the cities accordingly.

When we sorted the cities in South Dakota by population, we found that Sioux Falls is the largest city in South Dakota. The five largest cities in South Dakota, sorted by population, are Sioux Falls, Rapid City, Aberdeen, Brookings, and Watertown.

When we sorted the cities in South Dakota by land area, we also found that Sioux Falls is the largest city in South Dakota.
