When researching the largest cities in Vermont, Research Maniacs
used two different criteria for determining the largest city in
Vermont.
First, we looked at the population of all major cities in Vermont from the
last census and sorted the cities accordingly.
Secondly, we looked at all the city maps in Vermont to find how much land
area the cities cover and sorted the cities accordingly.
When we sorted the cities in Vermont by population, we found that
Burlington is the largest city in Vermont. The five largest cities in
Vermont, sorted by population, are Burlington, Essex, South Burlington, Colchester, and Rutland.
When we sorted the cities in Vermont by land area, we also found that
Burlington is the largest city in Vermont.
