from the 50 State Quarter Program. The Utah Quarter was issued by the United States Mint
to commemorate the state of Utah. For your convenience, you can see a picture of the

The Utah Quarter is the 45th quarter in the State Quarter Program. It was issued on November 5, 2007. It was the 45th State Quarter issued, because Utah was the 45th state to be admitted to the Union.
According to the US Mint, total Utah Quarter mintage for circulation was 508,200,000 coins. If you sort the State Quarters in ascending order by mintage, Utah would rank 14th. (State Quarter mintage ranges from 446,600,000 to 1,594,616,000.)
Like all commemorative State Quarters, the obverse side of the Utah Quarter shows President Washington, but it is the reverse side of the coin we will focus on here.
The Utah Quarter coin was engraved by Joseph F. Menna and has a great design. At the top of the coin, you will see the name Utah and just below it the year 1896, which is the year Utah became a state.
At the very bottom of the coin, it says "E Pluribus Unum" which means one out of many - Utah is one of the many 50 states. Above that, is the year the coin was issued, which in this case is 2007.
The actual design that was submitted by the state of Utah shows Golden Spike and the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad.
The inscription reads "Crossroads of the West".
The 50 quarters from this program were issued between 1999 and 2008. Both the
Philidelphia and the Denver Mint made the Utah circulated coins. The San Francisco Mint
was the only Mint that made the proof and silver proof Utah coins.
The Utah coin weights 5.67 grams, its diameter is 24.26 mm (0.955 inches),
and its thickness is 1.75 mm (0.069 inches). Furthermore, the Utah coin is made of 91.67% copper
and 8.33% Nickel. The Utah silver proof coins were made with 90% silver and 10% copper.
