Here is a list of all the MVPs for the Super Bowl. We also list the position of the MVPs and the team they were playing for.

Only once has a player from the losing team been the MVP. That happened in 1971 when Chuck Howley of the Dallas Cowboys was the MVP, but the Baltimore Colts won the game.

As you can see from the list, the MVP is usually the quarterback. But not always: In 1978 there were two MVPs and neither one was a quarterback.
