What are the tertiary colors? There are six tertiary colors. Tertiary colors are created by mixing a primary color with adjacent secondary color.

As you can see from our color wheel on the right, the tertiary colors are yellow-green, green-blue, blue-violet, violet-red, red-orange, and orange-yellow.
