What is Earth's Radius?
Information about Earth's Radius
We define the Earth's radius as the distance it would
be to dig from the surface to the very center of Earth. Note that Earth is
not
exactly round, so it varies a little from place to place
and where you start digging. However, on average
the Earth's radius is about 3950 miles.
How many feet does my drill bit need to be to reach
the center of the Earth, you may ask? Your drill bit
needs to be 4,198,850 feet to reach the center of Earth.
Anyway, as stated above, the Earth's radius is about
3950 miles.
Have a great day on Earth now that you know
the radius of Earth!
