What is the Difference Between Brown And White Eggs?
What is the difference between brown and white eggs?
Here we will look at brown vs. white eggs.
There is one huge difference between white eggs
and brown eggs. Drum roll please... they have different
colors.
Furthermore, the breed of hens that lay brown eggs are
different from the breed of hens that lay the white eggs.
Not surprisingly, the hens that lay brown eggs have darker
and browner feathers vs. the white-laying hens which have lighter
and whiter feathers.
The brown-laying hens also seem to be larger in size
compared to the white-laying hens. If you are bigger, you
eat more, and cost more to feed, which may explain why
brown eggs are more expensive.
As far as texture, yolk, egg white, nutritional value, taste,
or how it cooks, we have not found any difference between
white and brown eggs.
